Introduction

Dino is a very small yet powerful Content Management System, focused on providing an environment in which it is possible to create websites the way they're supposed to be.

As opposed to most other CMS, Dino does not come with any features. Instead, you'll have to install a couple of modules yourself in order to create your website. We're doing it this way in order to prevent bloated websites where you've to disable every feature that you won't be using. Instead you'll have to install the features you'd like to use.

Due to its design and implementation Dino targets two specific user groups: Those who do not need the power of other modern CMS, and those who know that any implementation of certain features will be to unspecific to fit their needs. We, here at Pagosoft, are members of both groups. Our Company-website is build on top of Dino as we do not need much features. We also are members of the second group, because we use Dino almost exclusivly for our customers, as a framework, to speed up the development of what they really want. The past has shown that these are the two groups of people who are most interested in Dino.

License

One of the strongest arguments in favor of Dino is its price: Free, as in freedom. We've decided to release it under terms of the General Public License (GPL). If you'd like to get a brand-free version, thus a version where you're not asked to put a link to this website on your own website, you can purchase one for just 50€. If you'd like to update your old installation, just overwrite all system files. There haven't been any changes to the database.
